Royal Opera House

RDMR is working with the Royal Opera House for performances of Rigoletto, Jephtha, Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci, Wolf Witch Giant Fairy, Hansel and Gretel, and Elektra.

The Royal Opera, under the direction of Oliver Mears and the baton of Antonio Pappano, is one of the world’s leading opera companies. Based in the iconic Covent Garden theatre, it is renowned both for its outstanding performances of traditional opera and for commissioning new works by today’s leading opera composers, such as George Benjamin, Mark-Anthony Turnage, Thomas Adès and the late Kaija Saariaho.

The Royal Opera House is one of the world’s most celebrated theatres and the home of The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House. Over one million people come visit each year and many more around the UK and globally experience its work through touring partnerships, cinema relays, free outdoor screenings, radio, TV and live-streaming. In addition to the Main Stage, programming in the Linbury Theatre spans centuries and pushes boundaries, interrogating what the art form can be and who it is for – all while sharing unforgettable stories in a unique and intimate setting. Offering emerging talent the chance to work alongside some of the finest theatre-makers of our time, the stage is renowned for both its award-winning performances of repertory and chamber works, and for commissioning new works by today’s most exciting composers, such as Bushra El-Turk, Gavin Higgins, Laura Bowler, Oliver Leith, and Philip Venables.
